Our Diet
Von Ackerland Rottweilers doesn't introduce premium kibbles to our Rottweilers right away. When our puppies are about 4 weeks, We start to give them a home made formula consisting of goats milk, plain yogurt, raw egg yolk, juiced carrots, fish oil, ground up beef liver and heart. Later, at 6 weeks, we start to add Horizon Legacy Salmon(all life stage kibble) into their formula to get them used to eating solid kibbles that they will be eating when they're sent to their forever home. Von Ackerland Rottweilers do not include poultry into our diet. we also, do not include grains into our diet. We have experienced throughout the years that the safest kibble to give to our Rottweilers is the premium brands that consist of fish and pulses.
Horizon Pet Nutrition offers variety of premium foods. We always keep our Rottweilers on Legacy Fish (all life stage) as their base food. We also, rotate through Horizon's Pulsar blends. Mixing the fish blend with pork, lamb and raw beef. This gives our Rottweilers a really healthy diet. The fish helps tremendously with their coat, joints, heart, immune system and more. The rotation of pork, lamb and beef makes sure our Rottweilers aren't deprived of nutrients throughout the year, fighting against prolong health problems and allergies.
