What's up with the Name?

We briefly stated that our name came from where we live in our country. Saskatchewan is the province located in the middle of Canada that mainly consists of farmland. We are the prairies of Canada. We thought it would be a very easy way for others around our country and around the world to recognize who we are and where our Rottweilers come from by giving our kennel this name. Not only that, but our family has been farming in Canada for over 100 years and even more years in the "Old Country" (Belgium). It really is apart of who we are and what influences our kennel name.

What you will see on our registration names is, "Von Ackerland". It is not a requirement for Rottweiler kennels to have a German registered name for themselves. Our kennel is just taking the rout of being apart of the traditional heritage of the Rottweiler.

"Von Ackerland", means, "of Farmland", in German.
